What is Hymenoplasty?

Hymenoplasty is a surgical procedure which re-attaches the remnants of the hymenal ring, it is also known as hymen restoration surgery. It can not be performed if the woman has given birth. A tin layer of the inner vaginal wall is cut and re-attached across the vaginal opening. It reduces the size of the opening and upon penetration, will tear and cause bleeding.

Why Choose Hymenoplasty?

Hymenoplasty is a procedure which women choose because of religious or cultural beliefs. Virginity may be a requirement for marriage in some cultures and hymen restoration surgery will cause bleeding upon penetration.
